Crawler Harvester RG102EVO: A Practical Multi-Crop Combine for Wet and Difficult Fields
When I talk with farmers or agricultural machinery buyers about a crawler combine harvester, I usually start with one simple question: what kind of field are you actually working in?
It sounds basic, but it matters a lot.
A machine that works well on a large, dry and flat field may not be the right choice for a wet paddy field, a soft soil area, or a farm with uneven ground. In real farming, the field is rarely perfect. Rain changes the soil. Crop conditions change from one season to another. Access roads can be narrow. Harvesting windows can also be very short.
This is one reason I pay close attention to the Crawler Harvester RG102EVO.
The LOVOL RG102EVO is a multi-crop crawler combine harvester designed for small and medium-sized farms and a range of harvesting conditions. LOVOL's current regional product information lists the machine as suitable for rice, wheat, soybeans, grain corn, sunflower, sorghum, millet and other crops. Its crawler chassis is designed to provide strong traction and lower ground pressure in wet or uneven fields.
For me, the most interesting part is not one single number on the specification sheet. It is the combination of the crawler chassis, harvesting system, feeding capacity, grain handling system and multi-crop design.
At Ganglong Heavy Industry Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd., we supply agricultural machinery together with construction machinery, mining machinery and matching attachments. Through Hefei Ganglong International Trade Co., Ltd., our international trade team works with customers across Asia, Africa, America and other markets. When a customer asks us about the LOVOL RG102EVO Crawler Harvester, we therefore look at more than just the machine itself. We also consider the crop, field, configuration, inspection, shipping and actual destination.
The LOVOL RG102EVO is a self-propelled crawler-type, full-feed combine harvester. In plain English, the machine moves by tracks rather than ordinary wheels, and the harvested crop is fed through the complete harvesting system for threshing, cleaning and grain collection.
That crawler design is especially useful when the soil is soft.
Think about a rice field after rain. The ground can become wet and loose, and a heavy machine with ordinary wheels may have difficulty maintaining good traction. A crawler system spreads the machine's contact with the ground and helps reduce ground pressure. It does not make the machine unstoppable, of course, but it gives the harvester a chassis that is better suited to many wet-field situations.
LOVOL currently describes the RG102EVO as a Multi-Crop Crawler Combine. Its regional product information lists rice, wheat, soybeans, grain corn, sunflower, sorghum and millet among the crops it can handle. The same product page positions the machine for small and medium-sized agricultural operations.
Published specifications vary by market and configuration. One LOVOL regional page lists 102 PS power, a 2,300 mm header, 1.8 m³ grain tank, 6 kg/s feeding rate and 0.5–0.8 hm²/h working efficiency. A separate RG102EVO product sheet lists a 75.0 kW Quanchai engine, 2,300 mm rotary cutter, 1.8 m³ grain tank, 6 kg/s feeding capacity and 0.5–0.8 hm²/h working efficiency. For an actual international order, I would always confirm the exact specification before quotation and shipment.

This is exactly why I do not recommend copying one specification sheet and assuming it applies to every country. Agricultural machines can have different engines, emissions configurations, equipment packages and market specifications.
The easiest way to understand a combine harvester is to think of it as several machines working together inside one body.
The crop first reaches the header. The header cuts and gathers the standing crop. The material is then moved into the feeding system. From there, the crop enters the threshing section, where the grain is separated from the rest of the plant.
After threshing comes cleaning.
The cleaning system removes unwanted plant material and helps separate the usable grain. The cleaned grain then moves into the grain collection system. When the grain tank is full enough, the operator can unload it into a suitable receiving vehicle or container.
LOVOL explains crawler combine harvesters through several main modules, including the header, threshing and separating system, cleaning system, grain collection, power system, driving system, vehicle body, hydraulic system, and electronic/electrical system.
That modular way of looking at the machine is useful because harvesting performance does not come from one component alone.
A wide header is useful, but only if the feeding system can handle the crop. A powerful engine is useful, but only if the harvesting and travel systems are correctly matched. A large grain tank is useful, but the unloading system also needs to work smoothly.
In everyday work, the operator also has to adjust the machine to the crop. Crop moisture, crop density, speed, field condition and harvesting height can all affect the result.
Cutting: The header cuts and gathers the crop.
Feeding: The harvested material moves into the machine.
Threshing: Grain is separated from stalks and other plant material.
Cleaning: Unwanted material is separated from the grain.
Grain collection: Cleaned grain enters the grain tank.
Unloading: Harvested grain is transferred out of the machine.
This is what makes the RG102EVO a genuine combine harvester rather than simply a crop-Cutting machine.
If I am discussing the RG102EVO with someone who farms in wet areas, the crawler chassis is usually one of the first things I explain.
Tracks change the way the machine contacts the ground.
Instead of putting the machine's weight onto a relatively small number of wheel contact points, the crawler system spreads the load along the tracks. This helps the machine maintain traction and can reduce ground pressure.
The RG102EVO product information lists a minimum ground clearance of 350 mm. A published product sheet lists a track gauge of 1,250 mm and crawler widths of 550 mm or 600 mm. It also lists crawler ground contact pressure at no more than 19 kPa.
| Chassis Item | RG102EVO Published Data | Practical Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Chassis type | Crawler | Designed for strong field mobility |
| Minimum ground clearance | 350 mm | Provides clearance between the lower machine structure and field surface |
| Track gauge | 1,250 mm | Defines the published crawler layout |
| Crawler width | 550 / 600 mm | Configuration options in the published product sheet |
| Ground contact pressure | ≤19 kPa | Helps explain the low-pressure crawler design |
| Transmission | Mechanical | Provides the travel drive system |

There is one important point here: crawler does not mean “works anywhere.” I would never make that promise to a customer.
Very deep mud, steep slopes, hidden obstacles and unsuitable field conditions can challenge any agricultural machine. Operator skill matters too. The best way to judge the RG102EVO is to compare its crawler design with the actual soil and crop conditions where it will work.
For rice farms, this can be particularly important. Wet paddy soil is one of the situations where a crawler combine harvester can make practical sense.

Now let's move from the chassis to the part that actually handles the crop.
The published RG102EVO specifications list a 2,300 mm header. The product sheet identifies the header as a rotary cutter and lists an eccentric-finger reel with a 900 mm reel diameter.
A 2.3 m header gives the machine a useful working width for small and medium-sized farms. It also needs to be matched to the field layout. In a wide, open field, a larger header can help cover more ground. In a small or irregular field, maneuverability becomes just as important.
The published feeding capacity is 6 kg/s. This tells us how much harvested crop the feeding system is designed to handle under the specified test or working conditions.
It should not be confused with a guaranteed field output. Real harvesting capacity depends on crop yield, moisture, field condition, working speed, operator settings and other factors.
The RG102EVO is listed with a 1.8 m³ grain tank. This gives the operator a useful amount of temporary grain storage before unloading.
For farmers, grain tank size matters because frequent stopping can interrupt the harvesting flow. The actual unloading frequency will depend on crop yield and working conditions.
The LOVOL Mexico product page lists a grain unloading speed of 20 L/s. The same page gives an unloading system designed around the machine's grain handling operation.
For a combine harvester, unloading is a small detail that can become a big issue during a long harvesting day. If the operator has to wait too long, the machine spends less time doing the job it was purchased for.
The published LOVOL regional information lists working efficiency at 0.5–0.8 hm²/h. This is useful as a reference, but I would not treat it as a promise for every farm.
Crop density, field shape, moisture, operator speed and unloading arrangements can all change actual field output.
| Harvesting Feature | Published Data | What It Tells the Buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Header | 2,300 mm | Practical working width for multi-crop harvesting |
| Header type | Rotary cutter | Crop cutting and gathering arrangement |
| Reel diameter | 900 mm | Part of the crop gathering system |
| Feeding capacity | 6 kg/s | Published crop feeding capability |
| Grain tank | 1.8 m³ | Temporary grain storage capacity |
| Unloading speed | 20 L/s | Published grain unloading rate |
| Working efficiency | 0.5–0.8 hm²/h | Published reference working range |

One reason the RG102EVO Multi-Crop Crawler Combine is interesting is its wider crop application.
LOVOL's current regional product information lists rice, wheat, soybeans, grain corn, sunflower, sorghum and millet among the crops covered by the RG102EVO.
That matters for farms where the crop changes from season to season.
Rice is a natural application for a crawler combine harvester. Paddy fields can be wet and soft, so traction and ground contact are important. The RG102EVO's crawler chassis is designed with this kind of condition in mind.
The RG102EVO can also be considered for wheat harvesting in markets where the relevant configuration is available. Wheat fields are generally different from wet paddy fields, so the buyer should confirm the local header and crop configuration before ordering.
Soybeans can create their own harvesting challenges because of plant height, moisture and crop conditions. The combine's threshing and cleaning systems need to be correctly adjusted for the crop.
LOVOL lists grain corn, sunflower, sorghum and millet as additional crop applications. This makes the RG102EVO interesting for farms looking for a multi-crop machine rather than a harvester designed around one crop only.
Still, I always recommend checking the actual crop configuration before placing an order. “Multi-crop” does not mean every crop uses exactly the same header, settings or operating method.
Customers who are considering the LOVOL RG102EVO may also look at the RG108PLUS. Both are crawler combine harvesters, but their published specifications are not identical.
The table below is useful as a starting point for model discussions. It is not a ranking. The suitable machine depends on the customer's crop, field, required capacity and configuration.
| Specification | RG102EVO | RG108PLUS |
|---|---|---|
| Machine type | Multi-crop crawler combine | Crawler combine harvester |

Looking at the table, one thing becomes obvious: model names alone are not enough.
A buyer should ask about the actual machine configuration being offered. This is especially important for international purchases because the same model name may appear in different regional product systems with different specifications.
When I prepare an overseas quotation, I would rather confirm the exact engine, header, grain tank, track configuration and other key details first than give a customer a number that belongs to a different market version.
Buying a crawler combine harvester internationally involves more than choosing a model and paying an invoice.
The machine has to arrive in usable condition, and that means preparation matters.
We first confirm the destination country and intended crop. Then we check the required configuration, available machine, quantity and order conditions.
For the RG102EVO, I would specifically confirm the engine power specification, header, crawler dimensions, grain tank, unloading arrangement and any market-specific equipment.
Before delivery, we can arrange checks covering the engine, hydraulic system, electrical system, crawler system, harvesting functions, attachments and relevant documents.
This step is important because an agricultural machine can travel thousands of kilometers before reaching the final customer.
Complete agricultural machinery is normally shipped by sea for international orders. Before loading, the machine is secured and protected according to the shipping arrangement.
Loose accessories and suitable spare parts can be packed separately in cartons or wooden cases when required.
For complete machines, sea transportation is generally the practical choice. Smaller parts and suitable accessories may be shipped by air or express depending on size, weight, urgency and destination.
The exact shipping plan is confirmed according to the order rather than using one standard method for every customer.
International orders are commonly arranged by T/T, with a deposit before order processing and the balance before shipment. Exact payment terms are agreed between the parties.
The preparation period depends on machine availability, selected configuration, order quantity and inspection requirements. I prefer to confirm the actual schedule after those details are clear.
There is one point I want to make clearly: we do not describe ourselves as the manufacturer of every brand that we supply.
Ganglong Heavy Industry Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2013. Together with Hefei Ganglong International Trade Co., Ltd., we operate as a comprehensive industrial and international trade group covering equipment R&D, manufacturing, testing, customization and global sales.
Our own HKLOONG range includes Excavators, loaders, Backhoe loaders and swamp excavators. At the same time, we supply complete machines and leasing services involving domestic and international brands including Hitachi, SANY, Lonking, Hyundai, XCMG, SHANMON and LOVOL.
For a customer buying a LOVOL RG102EVO, our role is to help with sourcing, model confirmation, configuration communication, inspection, export preparation and international delivery.
This broader machinery background can be useful because agricultural customers often need more than one machine. A farm project may require a crawler combine, tractor, implements, loader, trailer, spare parts or other equipment.
Our international trade team has experience serving markets in Asia, Africa, America and other regions. We understand that an overseas machinery buyer usually wants clear answers to practical questions:
Which configuration will be supplied?
Is the machine available?
What is included in the order?
Can the machine be inspected before shipment?
How will it be packed and loaded?
How will it be shipped?
What documents are required?
When can the machine be prepared for delivery?
These questions may not look as exciting as horsepower or harvesting width, but they are often the questions that matter most after the purchase order is signed.
The RG102EVO is a LOVOL multi-crop crawler combine harvester. It is a self-propelled, full-feed crawler machine designed for harvesting crops including rice, wheat, soybeans, grain corn, sunflower, sorghum and millet, depending on market configuration.
Yes. Rice is one of the main applications of the RG102EVO. Its crawler chassis is particularly relevant to wet and soft paddy field conditions.
Power depends on the market and configuration. LOVOL's Mexico regional page lists 102 PS, while another published RG102EVO specification sheet lists a 75.0 kW Quanchai engine. The exact power specification should be confirmed before ordering.
The published RG102EVO product information lists a feeding capacity of 6 kg/s.
The published specification lists a 2,300 mm header.
The published RG102EVO specification lists a 1.8 m³ grain tank.
LOVOL's regional product information lists a working efficiency of approximately 0.5–0.8 hm²/h. Actual field performance depends on crop type, crop density, moisture, field condition, operator speed and unloading arrangements.
LOVOL lists wheat and soybeans among the crop applications of the RG102EVO. Crop-specific configuration and operating settings should be confirmed for the intended market and crop.
The crawler chassis is designed to provide strong traction and lower ground pressure for wet or uneven terrain. However, no combine should be treated as suitable for unlimited mud or extreme ground conditions.
Complete agricultural machines are generally transported by sea. Suitable spare parts and smaller accessories can be shipped by air or express. The final method depends on the machine, destination and shipping arrangement.
Yes. We can arrange checks on the engine, hydraulic system, electrical system, crawler system, working functions, accessories and required documents before delivery, according to the agreed inspection scope.
No. Preparation time depends on the selected configuration, machine availability, order quantity, inspection requirements and shipping schedule. We confirm the actual delivery arrangement for each order.
When I look at the LOVOL RG102EVO Crawler Harvester, I see a machine built around a very practical idea: one crawler combine should be able to handle more than one crop while remaining useful in difficult field conditions.
The crawler chassis is important for wet and uneven fields. The 2,300 mm header provides a practical harvesting width. The published 6 kg/s feeding capacity and 1.8 m³ grain tank support the overall harvesting process. LOVOL also positions the machine for rice, wheat, soybeans, grain corn, sunflower, sorghum and millet, giving it a wider application range than a machine designed around one crop only.
But I would not recommend choosing a combine simply because the specification sheet looks good.
The real question is whether the machine fits your farm.
What crop are you harvesting? How wet is the soil? How large are the fields? What is the expected crop yield? How often do you need to unload? What roads will the machine use? Which configuration is approved or available in your market?
Those details tell us much more than a single horsepower number.
For customers looking for a Crawler Harvester RG102EVO, LOVOL RG102EVO Crawler Combine, RG102EVO Rice Harvester or Multi-Crop Crawler Combine Harvester, we can help confirm the available specification, order requirements, inspection arrangements and international shipping plan.
At the end of the day, agricultural machinery has one very simple job: help the farmer get the crop out of the field when the crop is ready. The RG102EVO is designed around that practical goal, with crawler mobility, multi-crop capability and an integrated harvesting system working together in one machine.
